ANUNCIAÇÃO_ is a performance that explores temporality by dancing the present-past and the present-future, enchanting the personal stories of the performers, guided by their ancestors through memories, forgetfulness, dreams, remembrances, and fables. The artists trace a path towards birth, passing through the rite of farewell to the visible world, traversing the invisible world and returning to the visible world, in a celebration of Black life in diaspora. The piece is inspired by the dialogue between traditions of Bantu and Yoruba cultures in Brazil and is full of ethical, aesthetic, and poetic references, such as Iyabá Oyá and the Congos and Mozambiques of Minas Gerais.
